Adopt A Warrior Family For Christmas, 2014 - After Action Report

 

The staff at Able Forces is just humbled by the incredible support we received for our 2nd Annual Adopt A Warrior Family For Christmas program.  This year we were able to expand our support to assist Warrior and Vetean families in 17 states and the District of Columbia.  

Last year we were able to "adopt"4 families.  This year, 10 families were adopted and provided gifts for each child off their "wish list", a tree, and the entire Christmas meal for up to 8.  In addition, additional gift cards were provided for the parent(s).  Along with our "adoption" of families, financial contributions from our donors provided another 35 families with gift cards, with the smallest demonination of gift card being $150.00.  Finally, another 388 families received toys for thier children.

A HUGE thank you to all who contributed, to our Warrior Advocates who identified our families, to our Corporate sponsors Insperity, SMS, Miracle Valley Vineyard, Operation Homefront, Orbital, ESOP Services, BB&T, Operation Care, the British Embassy, and to my staff and volunteers that made this all happen.  It was once again an example of the Christmas Spirit!  Thank you all.  May God continue to Bless all of you.
